Фонтан «Парус» в г. Новом Уренгое создан к 30-летию города и открыт в 2005 году. Концепция фонтана представляет собой архитектурную цитату парусного судна: чаша-корма, сетчатый парус, развевающийся вокруг центральной мачты. С мачты вода стекает вниз в чашу, из-под кормы бьют пенные струи, имитирующие волны.
Фонтан изготовлен из материалов, которые выдерживают температуры Крайнего Севера и оборудован светодинамической подсветкой, создающей в любое время года вид монументальной композиции в форме корабля с парусом. (Взято с сайта rusmarka.ru)

The Parus fountain in Novy Urengoy was created for the 30th anniversary of the city and opened in 2005. The concept of the fountain is an architectural quote from a sailing vessel: a stern bowl, a netted sail fluttering around the central mast. From the mast, water flows down into the bowl, from under the stern foam jets are beating, simulating waves.
